Bio
I received my PhD in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of South Carolina in 2018. I am now a part of the Humanities Department at the New York Institute of Technology, where I am working to help develop a new Technical Communication major and to expand the department's science writing offerings. I live in Montclair, New Jersey with the poet Josh English and our twin children.
My current writing projects include an overhaul of my manuscript Rhetoric and Plants and a pedagogy piece on my newly developed scientific writing class.
My current teaching projects include a young course on scientific writing, a nascent course on science journalism, and an experiment in contract grading.
